Why go for a countryside walk?
Given that we have dedicated a whole website to countryside walks, we are obviously big fans! But why? The below all sums it up fairly well for me. Not everyone will do it for the same reasons. However below is a list we have put together of the more common reasons.
Countryside walks are good for you in lots of ways — physically, mentally, and emotionally 🌿
🌱 Physical health
- Provides you with a gentle form of exercise that can help to improve your fitness, balance, and stamina.
- Helps boost your heart health and improves your circulation.
- A low impact form of exercise that is easier on your joints than many gym workouts.
- Encourages regular movement without making it feeling like a chore.

- Being outside in amongst nature has been proven to reduce both stress and anxiety.
- It has been proven that fresh air and green spaces can improve mood and concentration.
- Walking outdoors often helps clear your head and boost creativity. Some of my best ideas have come while out walking. It certainly helps to free my mind up.

- Creates a sense of calm and perspective.
- Good opportunity to spend some quality time with friends, family, or the dog, away from all the distractions of modern life
