What3Words

If you have an internet enabled mobile phone or smartphone then this is worth considering installing.

No one wants to have an accident or issue when out walking, but unfortunately for some it will always prove to be unavoidable. what3words is a location system that divides the entire world into 3 m ร— 3 m squares and gives each square a unique combination of three words (like filled.count.soap).

Why is What3Words useful?

๐Ÿš‘ Used by all emergency responders, and navigation apps

๐Ÿ“ Precise locations without long GPS coordinates

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Works well where addresses donโ€™t (parks, beaches, rural areas)

๐Ÿงญ Easy to share and remember

Each combinaton of 3 words points to exact spot on Earth.

The example above of filled.count.soap is the co-ordinates for the entrance of 10 Downing Street in London

Hopefully you will never need it, but in our opinion it is worth having ‘just in case’. Any time it helps the emergency services save if you run in to difficulty could make a massive difference.
